Scheduling
They book without an account
Pick a time, pay, done. No signup wall between a stranger and giving you money — and no double-booked slot on your side.
Day view, not a week grid
A seven-column week calendar squeezed onto a 393px screen is unusable, so the mobile picker is a day view you swipe between. This is the single most common thing scheduling tools get wrong on a phone.
Timezones that are actually right
Availability is stored in your zone, slots are computed in your zone, and every time is shown to the visitor in theirs. Daylight-saving transitions are handled explicitly — the hour that does not exist on a spring-forward morning is never offered.
Two people cannot take the same slot
The picker hides taken times and the server re-checks on submit, but both of those are read-then-write and can be raced. Underneath sits a database constraint that makes the collision impossible rather than unlikely. The loser sees "just taken", not an error.
Group sessions and office hours
A bookable can hold one person or twenty. Capacity, buffers before and after, minimum notice and how far ahead people may book are all yours to set.
